Steve, Jeff, and Sherry: I' just found out about your dad's passing today I am sorry to hear he had to leave this earth. I remember him coaching Steve, Jeff, and the rest of the RI Valley Downing's Dairy little league team while I played on an opposing team. Under his coaching, Downing's Dairy was always the team to beat. Mrs. Roessler and Sherry were at most, if not all of the games. I can still picture the article in the RI Argus annoouncing his purchase of the Athletic Shop. All of my baseball supplies were purchased there God Bless all of you and your families.

Coach Roessler was an icon for girls softball in the 70s & 80s. Today's tsunami of talent, opportunities and teams are a tribute to him. His passion to excel led to national championships, Black Hawk College softball, assembling summer teams, which all provided a platform to teach commitment, hard work, focus and growth. Thank you Coach Roessler, and to your family for your guidance and belief in the concept that GIRLS CAN PLAY BALL TOO at a time not everyone believed so . Please say hello to Jimmy DeVrieze from all of us who enjoyed your 1-2 power punch during those iconic years. God Bless.

My sincere sympathy to Pauls family, my daughter Laura played on the Ripco Sonics Softball team sometime between 1997 & 2002. I often ran into Paul at a local softball or basketball game & sometimes an Augie basketball game.. His favorite teams will now have an angel on the field. RIP "Coach"

My sincerest condolences Jason and the rest of the family....saying "until we meet again" is so hard, and a little bittersweet. Your Grandpa will be missed by many, but he will continue to be with each and every one of you as you continue on your journeys. Grieve and cry, but remember all the amazing memories. Prayers and love to you all.
