Knox Chapel

Conveniently located 10 blocks from our Rock Island facility, Knox Chapel is a 19th century chapel that has been lovingly restored. Reopened in 2016, this facility hosts funerals and memorial services for Wheelan-Pressly, but it is also available for weddings and other events.Our crematory is located at this site. Wheelan-Pressly’s most recent addition is the Knox Chapel, added in 2016. It is located in the historic Broadway Neighborhood, in the Dart Tower Mansion at 2106 7th Avenue, Rock Island. We purchased this property so that we could install our own on-site crematory and offer a second Rock Island location. It houses a traditional formal chapel, complete with pews and stained glass windows. This lovely building provides cremation services, traditional funerals and it is being used as a wedding chapel.
