Nathan "Nate" Weaver Obituary

Nathan “Nate” D. Weaver, 44, of Davenport, passed away in his home on Thursday, March 21, 2024.

Born August 30, 1979, in Bitburg, Germany, he was the son of Daniel C. and Kristi A. (Rigall) Weaver. Moving frequently as an Air Force ‘brat’, Nathan grew up in Montgomery and Mobile, Alabama, Fort Worth, Texas and Sembach, Germany. While the family was stationed in Germany for most of the 1990s, he attended Kaiserslautern American High School, graduating in 1998. These were formative years for Nathan during which many of his closest lifelong friendships were forged as well as his passion for playing the drums and soccer. He went on to play collegiate soccer while attending the University of the Incarnate Word in San Antonio, Texas. Nathan graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration Information Systems in 2003. He moved to Shreveport, Louisiana for a few years before settling in Davenport, Iowa in 2012. Here he began to hit his stride in recovery after dedicating his life to Christ. These were thriving, productive years for Nathan. He became an entrepreneur, starting his own real estate business Q.C. Freedom, and in 2017 he got married. In 2018, he obtained a Master of Arts in Archeological and Biblical Studies from Moody Bible Institute and became a father with the birth of his son Daniel. His daughter Hannah was born in 2020.

Nathan was actively involved in the Celebrate Recovery community and ministry at Edgewood Baptist Church playing drums at CR gatherings and at weekend worship services. Nathan’s passions in life were sharing the gospel with everyone he encountered, playing worship music as a drummer, following international and U.S. soccer (especially favorite team 1. FC Kaiserslautern) and being father to his beloved children.

He is survived by his children Daniel and Hannah, his father Daniel and stepmother Cecelia, his mother Kristi and stepfather Paul, his brother Karl, sister Keeghan, brother Jackson, nieces Scarlet and Oriah, and nephew Kostas.
