Mary Elizabeth (Krug) Wolverton

Mary Elizabeth (neè Krug) Wolverton, 51, of Milan, IL former resident of Buffalo Grove, IL died suddenly Saturday March 25, 2023 at home.

Mary was born in Oak Park, IL on December 29, 1971 to George and Marianne Krug who proceeded her in death.  She graduated from Buffalo Grove High School in 1990.  After graduating high school, Mary purchased her cherished Green Z28 Camaro nicked named the Grasshopper. 

Mary earned an Associate Degree in pharmaceuticals from Harper College in Palatine, IL. Mary went on to work 20 plus years as a pharmacy technician for Walgreens until 2009.

Mary married the love of her life Frank Wolverton on June 4, 2004 at St. Mary's Parish in Buffalo Grove, IL. Mary loved caring for her cats, listening to Greatful dead music, and talking with friends.

Those left to cherish in her memory include her husband, Frank Wolverton, Milan, IL; her siblings; Joe (deceased Cecilia) Krug, IL, George (Sue) Krug, ME, Jerry (Tina) Krug, TN, Phil (Kim) Krug, IL and her twin sister Pat Krug, IL. Mary leaves behind her beloved nieces and nephew Michael Krug, Alea Krug, Sarah (Krug) Tyrakowski, Kristen (Krug) Lovell, and Wes Krug as well as a brother-in-law, Lee Wolverton, Germany.

Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, 201 E. 4th Avenue, Milan, IL 61264 is assisting the family in arrangements for Mary. A memorial mass will be 10:30 am Saturday, April 15, 2023 at Saint Mary Parish, 10 N. Buffalo Grove Road, Buffalo Grove, IL 60089.  The family will greet friends from 10 – 10:30 am Saturday at church.  Memorials can be made in the care of Mary's husband, Frank Wolverton.
