Fredalou "Freda" Heinrich

Fredalou “Freda” Heinrich, 76, of Rock Island passed away on Saturday, March 16, 2024 at Hope Creek Nursing and Rehab, East Moline.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, April 2, 2024 at St. James Lutheran, Rock Island. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 7:00 pm on Monday, April 1, 2024 at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Rock Island. Burial will be in Chippiannock Cemetery, Rock Island. Memorials may be left in care of the family.

Freda was born on May 15, 1947 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, a daughter of Carl and Freda (Hanshaw) Rosemiller. She married David Heinrich and he preceded her in death in 1999. Freda worked for Ameritech for several years as a customer service representative and then for Walmart as a cashier for the past 20 years.

Freda’s hobbies included crafting and spending time with her family, especially the grandkids. She was a member of St. James Lutheran Church in Rock Island.

Those left to cherish Freda’s memory include her children, Chris Skaggs, Beth Skaggs, Kelly Guthrie, Shannon Heinrich and Joe Heinrich; several grandchildren, including Stephen, Dashaun, Shakayla, Jayvionce, Jaelynn, Jackson, Ellie, Gabrielle, Michael, Carl, Amber, Emily, Stephonie and many more; great grandchildren, Kaliyah, Kalanhni, Kamiyah, Vincent, Marlo and Miylah; and siblings, Carol Thurman and Carl Rosemiller.

Freda was preceded in death by her parents and husband, David Heinrich.
