Clinton L. England

               Clinton Lars England, 62, of Rock Island, passed away Friday, June 10, 2022, at the University of Louisville Hospital.

                Funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, June 27, 2022, at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Rock Island.  Visitation will be one hour prior at the church.  Private inurnment will be at a later date at Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline.  Memorials may be made to the family.

                Clinton was born on September 16, 1959 in Rock Island, the son of Clinton H. and Martha (Groene) England.  He married Sonia Wassell on March 22, 1980, in East Moline.  Clinton worked as an over the road trucker for Heartland Express.  He previously worked for Barr-Nunn and Gordon’s.  Clinton enjoyed fishing, hunting, and doing yardwork.  He was an avid Chicago Cubs and Chicago Bears fan.  Most of all he loved spending time with his family.  Clinton was a senior elder at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Rock Island.

                Clinton is survived by his wife of 42 years, Sonia England; children, Clinton W. England, Kathryn M. England, and Sarah M. (Joe) DeHoyos; grandchildren, Anthony C. England, Sephiroth and Lucien Kuhn; sister, Mary Pedigo; father-in-law, Wesley Wassell; brother-in-law, Mike (Mary) Wassell, Geneseo; sister-in-laws, Tanya (Laurie White) Steinkamp, California and Ketra Holder, Florida; and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and other extended family members.  He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Susan Stevens; niece, Katherine Pedigo.
