Anna Marian Schultz

Anna Marian Schultz, 87, of Sherrard passed away surrounded by her family on Tuesday, March 19, 2024 at UnityPoint Health Trinity, Rock Island.

A funeral service will be held at 10:00 am on Tuesday, March 26, 2024 at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Milan. Visitation will be from 4:00-7:00 pm on Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Rock Island National Cemetery, Arsenal Island. Memorials may be made in care of Cable Community Church.

Marian was born on October 21, 1936 in Needmore, PA, a daughter of Clyde and Alice (Ramsey) Swope. She married Robert Schultz on April 27, 1974 in Oquawka, IL. Marian worked as an LPN for her entire career at various places, including Rock Island Healthcare Center, Mercer County Hospital and Hospice.

Marian was a member of Cable Community Church. She loved to travel, especially out west, garden and care for her chickens.

Those left to cherish Marian’s memory include her children, Penny Abel, Sherrill Gress, Twana “Kate” Dykstra, Donna Gustaf, Kristal (Marvin) Schriner and Billie Jo Moran; 19 grandchildren; 29 great grandchildren; several great great grandchildren; siblings, Ralph Swope, Harold “Hap” Swope, Ron Swope, Bill Swope, Bet Mellott, Izella “Ip” Deshong and Peggy Maslauskas; and several nieces and nephews.

Marian was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Schultz; parents; and brothers, Eugene “Gene” Swope and Tommy Swope.
