Vivian A. Weihler, 79, of Sherrard, died Wednesday, July 18, 2018 at Heartland Health Care Center, Moline.
Funeral services are 10 a.m. Tuesday at Trinity Lutheran Church, Coal Valley. Burial is at the German Cemetery, Sherrard. Visitation is 4 to 7 pm Monday at the Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home, 201 E. 4th Ave., Milan. Memorials may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church, Coal Valley or to the Sherrard Fire and Ambulance Service.
Vivian Ann Hollars was born on Jan. 1, 1939 in Toulon, Ill., a daughter of Wilbur and Ghnell Reed Hollars. She married Robert F. Weihler on June 21, 1957 in Moline.
Vivian was a homemaker and enjoyed gardening, canning and crocheting, having made hundreds of scarves and caps for women and babies. She also enjoyed watching the birds out her windows, Wheel of Fortune and adult coloring. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Coal Velley, where she maintained the cradle roll.
Survivors include her husband, Robert; children, Laura Black and Robert H. Weihler, both of Sherrard; brothers, Paul Hollars, Hampton and Hearl (Rosemary) Hollars, Bradenton, Florida; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Jane Sleight; brother, Reed Hollars; son-in-law, Richard Black; and sister-in-law, Sandra Hollars.
