Hi, I'm Pam Schmidt, her husband Leonard's niece. My pa, Walter Schmidt (7/31/13-12/17/87) was Leonard's older brother. My parents moved to WI to farm before I was born in "55", but we went to visit now and then. I remember looking forward to seeing them because they always made me feel at home. Mary was so nice to me taking time with me even though ma n pa were there to catch up n reconnect.. I had been living in FL and moved back to WI to help ma n my brother,Randy. 3 months later ma, Carolyn Schmidt,/Doyle passed, n I stayed on to look after Randy, per ma's request. I had just come down to IL the day before Mary went in the hospital that last time, her neighbors told me. I looked in her window while there and saw several of her belongings I remembered from when I was young. I guess I'll just have to see her on the other side. Prayers for peace to her loved ones. She was an awesome lady. Many blessings...

I worked with Mary at Sanitary Dairy, and then Land O Lakes. She had a great sense of humor.As a 18 year old, I even had a small crush on her. I"ve thought about her occasionaly thru the years.
