Allan Friedman

                 Allan Friedman, 77, of Rock Island, passed away Saturday, July 13, 2019 at St. Anthony’s Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Rock Island.

                Graveside service will be held at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, July 16, 2019 at Hebrew Cemetery, Rock Island. 

                Allan was born on April 23, 1942 in Rock Island, the son of Isadore and Ethel (Urdangen) Friedman.  He was a Rock Island High School graduate.  Allan worked for Fresh Pak Candy Company during his working years. 

                In the early 1980’s, he married Sue Moore and entered the happiest period of his life.  This devoted couple made hundreds of friends as they pursued their passion of bingo nights.  Widower in 1997, Allan enjoyed In Touch/Active Day Centers for the Older Adult which he attended 5 days per week. 

                Allan was a devoted member of the Tri-City Jewish Center.  He was a regular there at worship services.

                Pleasant memories are left with his sister, Barbara, of Surprise, AZ; nephews, Warren Kizer of DeWitt, IA and Wayne Kizer or Milan, IL; nieces, Teri Bair of Houston, TX , Cyndie Birchansky of Cedar Rapids, IA, and Dyana Gold of Middletown, WI, and cousin, Maynard Siegel of Rock Island. 

                Allan took every opportunity to thank his special friends, Gary Segal, Marla Andich, Steve Andich, Jenny Kitsis and Dan Kitsis for their many years of friendship.
