| Richard D. “Ricky” Seidel, 62, formerly of the Coventry Apartments, Rock Island, died Thursday, July 29, 2010 at Rock Island Nursing and Rehabilitation.
Funeral services are 1:30 p.m. Monday at the Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home, 3030 7th Ave., Rock Island. Visitation is 12:30 p.m. until service time Monday. Private inurnment will in the Chippiannock Cemetery, Rock Island at a later date. Memorials may be made to the Coventry Apartments.
Ricky was born on February 16, 1948 in Rock Island, a son of Waldo and Naomi Martens Seidel. He graduated from Rock Island High School.
He worked as a courier in the mail department of the Rock Island Arsenal prior to his retirement.
Ricky loved classic movies, musicals and was a fan of Disney. He was also an avid Chicago Cubs fan.
Survivors include his brother, Dennis Wilson Sr. (Debra Jones), Rock Island; nephews, Rob (Lorna) Wilson, Davenport and Lonny (Yolanda) Wilson, Preemption; a niece, Trina (Nick) Viaene, Rock Island; and many great nieces and great nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.
