| Beverly J. Allers, 81, of Rock Island, died Thursday July 1, 2010, at St. Anthony’s Continuing Care Center, Rock Island.
Services are 11:30 a.m. Tuesday at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home, 201 E. 4th Ave., Milan, IL. Burial will be at Rock Island National Cemetery, Arsenal Island. Visitation will be 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the family to be designated later.
Beverly was born January 26, 1929, in Milan, IL, a daughter of William Carlson and Margaret Carothers Carlson. She married Russell Allers in June of 1951 in Milan, IL. He preceded her in death on May 9, 1991.
Beverly was a homemaker and she enjoyed volunteering at the Trinity, Rock Island, gift shop, for several years.
She attended First Presbyterian Church, Milan. She enjoyed being with family and friends, especially her grandchildren. Her interests included cross-stitching.
Surviving are her mother, Margaret Danielson, Milan; son and daughter-in-law, Harry and Christine Allers, Coal Valley; daughter, Kimberly Williams; grandchildren, Erica and Jessica Fosdyck, and Harrison and Payton Allers; three great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters-in-law, Duaine and Marie Carlson, Milan and Gareld and Judy Danielson, Rock Island; and many nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
Beverly is preceded in death by her father, stepfather, James G. Danielson, and husband.
