| Willie F. Bragg, 75, of Rock Island, passed away Sunday June 6, 2010 at his home surrounded by his family.
Funeral services will be 11:00a.m., Thursday at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home, Rock Island. Visitation will be from 4:00-7:00p.m., Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Chippiannock Cemetery, Rock Island. Memorials may be made to the family.
Willie was born on April 8, 1935 in Louisville, MS, the son of John and Nellie (Clay) Bragg. He married Dorothy Liddell on June 21, 1969 in Davenport.
Mr. Bragg had been employed by Preister Construction, Davenport until his retirement in 1981. Earlier he had worked for International Harvester, East Moline and Franks Foundry, Davenport.
He loved spending time with family and friends. He also enjoyed listening to gospel music, especially Lee Williams.
Survivors include his wife, Dorothy; children and spouses, Lawanda (Ozell) Porter, Loredia (Rev. Larry) Dixon, Willie Bragg Jr., Nickie V. Bragg, Retina R. Bragg, Celine (Maurice) Lee, Latressa (Johnnie) Jones, all of Rock Island, Antonio F. Bragg, Minneapolis, MN, Dorinda Bragg, Rock Island, Damien Bragg, Joliet, IL, Tammy Nimmers, Moline, Pamela (Willie) Hudson, Rock Island; 33 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; sisters, Shirley Clemons, Loraine Bragg Pierson, Mary Bragg, Bonnie Clemons, Mae Bragg, Tammy Foote; brother, Chris Bragg; many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter, Delphine Bragg, 3 brothers, David, John and Wilson Bragg.
