| Delores P. Dugan, 85 of Milan, passed away Friday October 2, 2009 at Avonlea Cottages, Milan.
A mass will be held at 10:00a.m., Tuesday at St. Ambrose Catholic Church, Milan. Visitation will be Monday from 4:00 to 7:00p.m. at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home, Milan, with a Christian Wake service at 4:00p.m. Memorials may be made to the Milan Animal Shelter or American Lung Association. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Rock Island.
Delores was born on January 5, 1924 in Burgess, IL, the daughter of Thomas and Gail (Plunkett) Vance. She married Paul Dugan on July 1, 1945. He preceded her in death in 1978.
Delores and her husband Paul had been the longtime owners of the former Dugan’s Super Market, Milan. Later she had been employed by Von Maur, Moline.
Mrs. Dugan was a member of St. Ambrose Catholic Church, Milan, Milan Woman’s Club and Willow Bee’s. She enjoyed traveling, cooking and spending time with her family and children.
Delores was the proud mother of, Dianne (Art) Margolis, Denver, CO., Daniel Dugan, East Moline, Denise (Andrew) Babinski, St. Louis, MO.; loving grandmother of, Jeffrey (Enola)Glisan, Chloe Babinski, Nicholas Babinski and Shawn; great grandmother of, Faith and Makayla Glisan; her special siblings, Phyllis (Jerry) Wilson, Milan and Russell (Judith) Vance, Rock Island.
Delores was preceded in death by two brothers, Forrest and Wendell Vance.
