| John (Jack) W. Nesbitt Jr., 69, of Milan, passed away Sunday March 23, 2008 at Trinity Medical Center, Rock Island.
Services will be held 1:00PM Wednesday at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home, Milan. Visitation will be 12 Noon until service time at the funeral home. Burial will be in the National Cemetery, Rock Island. Memorials may be made to the family.
Mr. Nesbitt was born January 4, 1939 in Rock Island, the son of John W. and Elizabeth M. (Peters) Nesbitt Sr. He married Nancy L. Nelson in July 1967 in Rock Island.
John had been employed for the Village of Milan as a chemist for many years before retiring in 2001.
Mr. Nesbitt was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps.
Survivors include his wife, Nancy; mother, Elizabeth; daughters and son in law, Connie Brown, Colona, Shellee Nesbitt, Rock Island, Elizabeth (Lisa) and Kenny Clawson, Aledo; sons and daughters in law, Kenny and Kim Moskaloff, Colona, John W. and Jody Nesbitt III, Viola; 8 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; sisters and spouses, Patricia Bennett, Port Byron, Jeanette and Billy Smith, Rock Island, Alida and Dwayne Lowry, Milan, Carol and Larry Williamson, Rock Island, Sherrill and Don Benson, Rock Island; brother and spouse, George and Lin Nesbitt, New Windsor and a aunt and spouse, Dorothy and Don Hoteling.
John was preceded in death by his father and infant son, Joseph Ray Nesbitt. | |
