| Thomas J. Koenig was born January 15, 1946 in Moline, IL, the son of B. Calvin Koenig and Helen Lindgren Koenig. He attended schools in Rock Island and Tampa, Florida. After graduating from Rock Island High School, he attended Blackhawk College. He was employed for 27 years at the Harvester Works of Deere and Co.
Tom was an active member of Bethany Baptist Church, Moline, and First Baptist Church while he was in Newton, IA. He also was actively involved in Fellowheirs, a support ministry founded by his parents.
Surviving are his sister, Linda Martin, Newton, IA; two nephews (and spouses), Chris (Melissa) Martin, Shelby, NC, and Michael (Carla) Martin, Dacula, GA; niece, Debbie Martin, Newton; one great nephew and one great niece; many cousins and special friends, Ed and Sharon Butterfield.
His parents preceded him in death.
