| Michael G. Conwell, 54, of Moline, died Sunday, Aug. 5, 2007 at his home, surrounded by his loving family.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m., Thursday at the Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home, 3030 7th Ave., Rock Island. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Rock Island. Visitation is 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
Michael was born Feb. 4, 1953 in Moline, a son of John and Petty (Hutton) Conwell. He was a graduate of Alleman High School. He married Sherry Morris on Feb. 24, 2004 in Rock Island, after a 17 year engagement.
Mike worked 28 years for Nichols-Homeshield, Davenport.
He enjoyed and was known for riding his six foot unicycle. Mike also liked fishing, going to the boats and playing the lottery.
Survivors include his wife, Sherry; son, John Conwell, Rock Island; step-children (and spouses) Kerry Anne Roden (Steve Skaggs) Colona, Damian (Annette) Morris, East Moline; grandchildren, C.J. Gengler, Bryan Skaggs and Ian and Paige Morris; his mother, Petty Conwell, Rock Island; brothers, Steve (Jean) Conwell, Jimmy Conwell and Paul (Alice) Conwell, all of Rock Island; and his sister, Diane (Larry) Guyer, Durant, IA. He was preceded in death by his father, and a grandson, Evan Skaggs.
