Mary L. (Koch) Nesseler

                Mary L. Nesseler , 87, of Davenport formerly of Andalusia, passed away Thursday, June 15, 2017 at Jersey Ridge Place, Davenport.

                A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, June 19, 2017 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Andalusia.  Visitation will be held one hour prior to service.  Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery, Rock Island.  Memorials may be made to St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Andalusia in remembrance of Mary. 

                Mary was born April 7, 1930 in Milan, Illinois.  Her parents were Mary E. Daxon and Floyd C. Koch.  She married Walter D. Nesseler on August 18, 1947 at St. Ambrose Catholic Church in Milan, Illinois.  She retired from the Rock Island Bank after 25 years of service in 1985.  She enjoyed traveling with her daughter, Judy, granddaughter, Christy and close friends.  She was a Eucharistic Minister and also donated time to different activities at St. Patrick's Church before moving to Davenport.  She truly enjoyed planting and nurturing her beautiful flowers and playing cards with friends. 

                Survivors include: daughter and son-in-law, Judy and John Wiatrowski, Dyer, IN; son, Edward Nesseler, Reynolds, IL; grandson, Todd Nesseler and his wife, Michelle, Andalusia (Todd was raised by his grandparents, following the death of his mother Janet.)  Other grandchildren and spouses, Christy Helkowki, Tim (Jamie) Wiatrowski, Janna (Chris) Stoebner, Jeremy (Miranda) Nesseler; great grandchildren, Andrew, Ashley, Alyssa, Bryce, Kylee, Jeffrey, Caden, Isaac, Drake, and Aria.  She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Walter; daughter, Janet; son, Jeff; and a sister who passed at birth.
